        Vocational Case ManagementOur vocational case managers are experienced professionals trained to assist injured workers with their return to the workforce. Vocational case managers provide services that include but are not limited to initial vocational interview, vocational testing, job seeking skills training, identification of resources in their community, job assessments, expert testimony, and identification of modified or transitional work with their employer. Vocational assignments may be task related or for full services. We also offer return to work programs that cater to specific employers and their business which allows them to have a transitional duty program when needed.

        Catastrophic Case ManagementOur catastrophic case managers assist the patient with navigating the complex health care system that they are now thrust into. From the moment the file is assigned our case manager will open communication with the patient, family, healthcare team, and others involved in the process. Our catastrophic case manager coordinate appointments, provides medical management, assist with planning, and facilitate communication between all parties. Our goal is to provide the patient with the best outcome possible.

        Telephonic Case ManagementThe telephonic case managers work directly with healthcare professionals, injured workers, adjusters, and employers to facilitate appropriate treatment in a timely manner. Our case managers have established relationships with healthcare providers which allow for timely scheduling and access to treatment. CoreCare has also provided access to video conferencing for all staff if the provider has this option available.

        Utilization ReviewCore Care’s utilization review team provides services to ensure that requested medical treatment follows the Louisiana Office of Workers Compensation Medical Treatment Guidelines. Our goal is to ensure that patients receive appropriate care delivered in an appropriate setting.

        Bill ReviewOur bill review professionals review provider bills to ensure rates are fair and reasonable. They are skilled in identifying questionable charges, billing practices, and treatment options. Any discrepancies will be identified, documented, and addressed. Charges that are in excess of the state fee schedule reimbursement amounts will be reduced.
